So, jobs for today!

I've finally set up a Twitter account - hoorah! Please follow me if you can!

I've also entered the I Love Promarkers Anything Goes challenge with one of the cards I made for the previous post. Still trying to get the hang of placing buttons and things on here but we'll keep trying.

I decided that it was time for a bit of a change, so now I have a bit more time to dedicate to crafting. From this, I figured it was time to set up some rules: 1. Use up the crafty stash, 2. Use those rubber stamps that look so pretty in the drawer, 3. Try something new every week, whether it be a new craft or just a new technique, 4. Start making moves in the right direction. Hopefully there may be a couple of things in the pipeline when it comes to making the crafting more than just a hobby. DH says I can have a craft room in the new house, as long as he can have a guitar room. I think it's a fair trade!

Anyway, off to play with buttons of the digital and wooden variety!

Nutcrafters DT Call

Well, this is my first blog post!

I made a card for the Nutcrafters DT call. This company make really cute stamps and I chose Harriet and Patch from the stamps I bought at Port Sunlight this year.

Harriet was brunette on the packaging, but I thought she may look sweet blonde. For the card I used:

Bazzill Basics in limeade,
Pink Core'dinations with Swiss Dots (Cuttelbug folder)
Some spare Lime polka dot ribbon, with a pink satin 3mm ribbon over the top
Two fabric flowers with a crystal brad,
3 pink pearls,
Daisy and Dandelion greeting on scalloped ovals Nesties
Finally, the main image of Harriet and Patch, coloured in Promarkers,

Promarkers used: Ivory, Almond, Vanilla, Cinnamon, Lime Green, Apple, Blossom, Cormflower, Cool Grey 1.

As I was feeling a bit creative with the stamp, I made a card for my friend's birthday. Same stamp, different colours for a more vintage feel.

Seeing as how reds and pinks are her favourite colours, I co-ordinated her top with the papers. The small border of gold mirri really finishes it off.

Anyway, my craft room looks like a bomb has gone off. The joys of organising with new shelving! Hopefully I'll get to update this blog a bit more often and track the progress of the room!

Happy Crafting!
